If you don’t want to hold the tooth in your mouth, tooth-preservation products are sold in stores. This is a canister that is filled with a specially formulated nourishing gel. In order to use the product, you will place the knocked-out tooth in the jar and seal it. The nourishing gel will keep it alive for a short time while you make your way to Artistry in Dentistry.
If any part of the tooth, root or nerve remains in the socket, Drs. Sullivan or Monahan will likely have to extract the remainder of the knocked-out tooth. Sometimes they can perform a root canal to restore the tooth.
