Dr. Sheldon Sullivan
Dr. Sullivan has dedicated his career as a dentist in Gilbert and Mesa, AZ, to providing his patients with a standard of care that exceeds their expectations of excellence. He graduated from University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA, in 1996 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Since graduation, Dr. Sullivan has pursued numerous post-graduate educational courses and has received advanced training from the world’s leading educators in dentistry.
Dr. Sullivan is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a graduate of Pacific Aesthetic Continuum, one of the most recognized cosmetic dentistry training programs in the nation. He has also completed numerous courses at the esteemed Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and the Kois Center for Dental Excellence. He has mastered the art of restorative and aesthetic dentistry including dental implants and complex restorative dentistry. Labeled as a perfectionist by his patients, Dr. Sullivan is passionate about his profession.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is also a member of numerous local study groups.
Dr. Sullivan has successfully treated hundreds of restorative and cosmetic cases. He has also served as a clinical mentor at Spear Education, a postgraduate education program to improve skills in cosmetic and restorative dentistry under the direction of the renowned Dr. Frank Spear. As a recognized speaker and dental educator, Dr. Sullivan lectures nationwide at conferences and workshops on the topics of implant and complex restorative dentistry.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He enjoys traveling, reading, and taking trips to the lake in the summer time. His family and friends will tell you that he always has several projects in the works: whether it is restoring vehicles, coordinating service projects, or perfecting his talents in the culinary arts, Dr. Sullivan is known as a “jack of many trades” to all those who know him.
Dr. Shawn Monahan
Dr. Monahan, an Arizona native, graduated with honors from both ASU and the nationally recognized doctoral program at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. After receiving his doctorate in dental medicine, Dr. Monahan was one of only seven doctors to be selected to participate in the prestigious Advanced Education Residency at UCLA School of Dentistry, focusing on complex treatments and dental implants. Passionate about keeping his skills fresh and up to date, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He also participates in multiple continuing education and certification opportunities throughout the year.
When Dr. Monahan is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five sons. He is also very active in the Boy Scouts of America. After earning the award of Eagle Scout in his youth, he has continued on to serve as Scout Master, troop leader, and currently is a varsity coach in the program. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Monahan served two years in Japan becoming fluent in Japanese.

Jennifer joined Dr. Sullivan’s team in 1999. She has an extraordinary memory and knows and understands the inner core of the practice. She married her childhood sweetheart. She has two grown children. She is a native to Arizona and enjoys camping in the Arizona mountains, especially in the summer, and riding and exploring new trails on her quad. Jennifer enjoys singing, dancing, and spending time with her family. She believes in making each day a great day.
Dawn joined Dr. Sullivan’s team in July of 2006. After six and a half years in the front office, she took a two-year leave from work, and then returned to our team in February of 2015. She and her husband of 30 years have 4 children and a beautiful granddaughter. She is a rare Arizona native, and when she is not at the office, Dawn enjoys photography, volunteering with her husband in the Boy Scouts of America, and vacationing in Utah with her family. Dawn is committed to helping every patient achieve their optimum dental health and making your visit at our office such a great experience you’ll want to tell everyone about it!
Since joining our team in September 2009, Brittany has been a valuable part of our practice. With her 12 years of dental experience, Brittany brings a professional yet relaxed and fun-loving attitude to our office. She is a graduate of the Red Mountain MCC Dental Hygiene program and is extremely passionate about her career in dental hygiene. She enjoys traveling to continuing education courses and researching the latest therapies and technologies for preventive care. Her highest priority is coaching her patients to optimum oral health. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. When she’s not at the office, Brittany enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children, and friends.
Margo is from Pima, a small town in southeastern Arizona. She grew up surrounded by cotton fields, cows, and tractors. After high school, she went to Eastern Arizona College and ASU. She graduated from dental hygiene school at Rio Salado at the top of her class. She loves being a dental hygienist and helping patients strive for a healthy, beautiful smile. Margo loves getting to know her patients and learning about their lives. She has the cutest little boy who keeps her on her toes. Margo’s hobbies include refinishing furniture, shooting guns or her compound bow, and running.
Ruth was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. Ruth knew since she was about 13 years old that she wanted to work in dentistry. She was one of those rare kids who loved having braces and getting her teeth cleaned, and just knew that is where she would end up. Ruth has been in the dental field for four years and has absolutely loved every second of it. Her goal is to have her patients leave the dental chair with a bigger smile and more confidence about their mouth than they had before. Ruth attended Carrington College, where she graduated with her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. Besides working, she loves to be outdoors hiking, swimming, and playing various sports, but most importantly, being with her family.
Aubrey comes from a big family. With one sister and four brothers, she is lucky number five. Being one of the youngest, her older siblings have taught her to work hard if she wants to become anything important later in life. Therefore, she works fulltime and is going to Mesa Community College to become a dental hygienist. When she’s not hard at work, she enjoys reading books, watching movies, and spending time with loved ones. Aubrey has a sense about her that is calming and sweet, has a really big heart, and works hard to please other people.
